Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 16, 2026
Foodies is a personal recipe app for iPhone and iPad. This policy explains what information the app handles and what happens to it. The short version: your recipes stay on your device. We don’t run accounts, ads, or analytics.
Who we are
Foodies is developed by Arturo Enriquez (“we”, “us”). If you have questions about privacy, email arturoenqzsupport@gmail.com.
What Foodies stores
Everything you create in the app is saved locally on your device using Apple’s on-device storage:
- Recipe titles, notes, and instructions
- Category names you add in Settings
- Photos you attach to a recipe
- App preferences, such as language and accent color
That data is not uploaded to our servers because we don’t operate any. If you delete a recipe, category, or the app itself, that information is removed from your device.
Photo library access
When you add a photo to a recipe, iOS asks for permission to access your photo library. Foodies only reads the images you pick. We don’t scan your library in the background or upload photos anywhere.
What we don’t collect
- No account or sign-in
- No analytics or tracking SDKs
- No advertising
- No sale or sharing of personal data with third parties
- No server-side storage of your recipes
Internet access
Foodies does not need an internet connection to work. The app does not send your recipe content to external services.
Backups and device transfers
If you use iCloud Backup or migrate to a new device through Apple’s normal backup process, your Foodies data may be included in that backup like any other app data. That backup is managed by Apple under your Apple ID, not by us.
Children
Foodies is a general recipe app and does not target children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we update Foodies in a way that changes how data is handled, we’ll revise this page and update the date at the top. For meaningful changes, we may also note them in the App Store release notes.
